About the Role
The teacher will prepare and adapt lesson plans, differentiate instruction, maintain student records, use research-based practices, manage behavior, create a positive classroom culture, engage families, integrate technology, and collaborate with colleagues while supporting school-wide expectations and non-instructional activities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and adjust lesson plans throughout the academic year as needed
- Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student learning needs
- Keep thorough and up-to-date records of student progress and development
- Apply research-supported instructional strategies in daily planning and teaching
- Oversee and guide student conduct in classroom settings
- Foster an inclusive and encouraging learning environment
- Use approved curricula that reflect students' varied cultural, linguistic, and educational backgrounds
- Support and uphold school-wide behavioral and cultural standards
- Engage with families to discuss student academic and social-emotional progress
- Integrate technology into daily instruction to enhance learning outcomes
- Assist in organizing and carrying out non-instructional school activities when required
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with fellow educators and staff
- Complete additional duties as assigned by school leadership
Requirements
- Valid Ohio state teaching license in the relevant subject area
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related discipline
- Comfort with ongoing professional development through regular observations, feedback sessions, action planning, and performance tracking
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Capable of handling confidential student and family information appropriately
- Able to supervise students across various school environments, including playgrounds and cafeterias
- Eligible to pass both federal and state criminal background screenings

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $48,000 - 57,500. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
