Responsibilities

  • Identify and address unsafe behaviors and workplace conditions to maintain a safe environment.
  • Actively apply and promote safety observation techniques daily.
  • Ensure consistent housekeeping standards and safety awareness are upheld on every shift.
  • Foster open and constructive communication within the bindery team.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to meet production timelines, quality standards, and delivery expectations.
  • Collaborate with management to develop training resources that support employee growth.
  • Provide input on staffing decisions including hiring, firing, promotions, transfers, and training needs.
  • Encourage team performance aligned with department goals and production schedules.
  • Help determine optimal staffing levels in coordination with other supervisors and departments.
  • Align workforce assignments with quality and production demands.
  • Keep accurate records and complete required documentation as assigned.
  • Support the use of Total Quality Program principles and tools across operations.
  • Encourage cross-departmental teamwork to drive ongoing improvement.
  • Carry out additional tasks as needed.
  • Train team members in new procedures and lean production methods.
  • Share technical knowledge and assist in training other employees as directed.
