Responsibilities
- Deliver curriculum and assessments aligned with state standards and organizational expectations to achieve high academic outcomes
- Master and teach grade-level content, including core objectives and required texts
- Prepare and submit lesson plans two weeks in advance to allow for review and feedback
- Use formal and informal assessments to monitor individual student progress, adapt instruction, and maintain accurate grading records updated weekly
- Provide regular updates on student performance to both students and their families
- Utilize technology effectively for instructional delivery, communication, and task management to support learning and efficiency
- Enforce a structured classroom behavior system that supports school-wide initiatives and promotes character development and community values
- Contribute to building a positive, engaging, and academically driven school culture
- Build respectful, trusting relationships with students and families that reflect awareness and appreciation of their communities
- Conduct tutoring sessions as needed to support student learning
- Attend required meetings including leadership check-ins, grade-level collaborations, and school-wide events before and after school
- Engage in ongoing professional development throughout the summer and academic year at the district, school, and individual level
- Commit to a minimum of 40 hours per week on-site
- Fulfill additional duties such as after-school or weekend academic support based on student needs
Compensation
The starting salary for candidates with no prior experience is $59,500. This position qualifies for stipends between $500 and $4,000 depending on certifications, credentials, or leadership roles. Performance-based pay opportunities are available. Additional hourly pay is provided for assigned after-school or Saturday school responsibilities. A relocation allowance may be available when applicable.
