Responsibilities
- Deliver curriculum and assessments aligned with state standards to achieve high academic outcomes
- Master and teach grade-level content, core objectives, and required texts effectively
- Submit detailed lesson plans two weeks ahead of time to receive feedback
- Use formal and informal assessments to monitor individual student growth and adapt instruction, updating grades weekly
- Provide weekly updates to students and families on academic progress
- Utilize technology efficiently for communication, instruction, and task management to enhance learning outcomes
- Enforce a consistent behavior system that supports school-wide initiatives and builds classroom community and character
- Contribute to creating a school culture that promotes enthusiasm and academic productivity for all students
- Build respectful, trusting relationships with students and families rooted in cultural understanding
- Conduct tutoring sessions as needed to support student learning
- Attend weekly check-ins, grade-level meetings, and school-wide events, including before and after school duties
- Participate in ongoing professional development during summer and throughout the academic year
- Commit to a minimum of 40+ hours per week spent on-site
- Take on additional duties such as after-school or Saturday tutoring based on student needs
