Asharq UAE is hiring a Writer Reporter to produce impactful journalism for a dynamic audience. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of news content, from initial research to final multimedia presentation.
What You'll Do
- Develop articles and featured stories in compliance with the Group’s editorial policy and guidelines.
- Gather information and opinions, verifying all facts for accuracy.
- Work on, review, edit, and deliver assigned stories and reports.
- Write and record voiceovers (LVO) for assigned stories and breaking news.
- Develop creative ideas for presenting news through a combination of illustration, maps, and graphics.
- Write scripts only after reviewing all available video material.
- Propose ideas for field coverage (news, stories, and features) in coordination with the team.
- Advise or coach fellow colleagues as required.
