Forbes Vetted, the commerce editorial division of Forbes Advisor, is hiring a Beauty & Fashion Writer to join its team. You will research and create content for the Beauty & Grooming and Fashion sections, including buying guides, product reviews, news posts, and features. This role involves collaborating across multiple teams and developing content for social, newsletter, and video channels.

What You'll Do

Write well-researched and authoritative articles covering apparel, jewelry, accessories, makeup, skincare, haircare, and personal grooming.
Perform hands-on product testing alongside other research methods to craft high-quality, best-of-the-web content.
Brainstorm and pitch stories based on SEO/GEO, audience data, trends, seasonality, and key performance indicators.
Collaborate frequently with strategy, data, audience development, partnerships, product, and editorial teams.
Ideate and execute off-platform content for social media, newsletters, and video as a routine part of coverage.
Leverage analytics tools like Looker to plan content and track performance against team and individual goals.
Participate in sales event coverage, including working shifts over some holiday weekends like Memorial Day, Amazon Prime Day, and Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

What We're Looking For

4+ years of expertise writing about products and topics in the fashion and beauty & grooming categories.
Impeccable writing and reporting skills, including the ability to source and cultivate experts for articles.
Experience with hands-on product testing in the beauty, grooming, and fashion space.
An eye for features, storytelling, and content packaging that strengthens the site’s authority and brand.

Nice to Have

Experience crafting deeply reported features and content for off-platform channels like email, social media, and video.
Comfort writing about products in some of Forbes Vetted’s other lifestyle categories, such as travel.
A robust network of industry PR contacts.
Experience appearing in video and enthusiasm for translating editorial stories into engaging video content.
An existing online audience or excitement to develop a following via newsletter, video, social media, and site contributions.
Eagerness to innovate and experiment editorially to help grow the Forbes Vetted audience on-site and off-platform.

You will collaborate with the editorial and strategy staffers, deals and special projects teams, and the audience development team. You will report to the Forbes Vetted Deputy Editor for lifestyle.

Benefits & Compensation

Compensation: $70,000 - $75,000

This is a remote position open to candidates in California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Washington.
