About the Role

Hyundai USA is hiring a Welding Production Group Leader to supervise Team Leaders and Members in manufacturing and quality areas within our automotive EV production plant. You will direct and coordinate team activities to meet critical production goals, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets are achieved.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise Team Leaders and Members in manufacturing and quality areas.
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of multiple team leaders engaged in automotive vehicle production.
  • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
  • Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
  • Demonstrate equipment operations and work & safety procedures.
  • Observe work and monitor work processes to ensure Team Members conform to production standards.
  • Use independent judgment in assigning, distributing, and coordinating team work.
  • Ensure quantity and quality of work is completed within a given timeframe.
  • Implement corrective action in accordance with HMGMA policy.
  • Accountable for the performance of the team and address Team Member grievances.
  • Support management in problem solving initiatives and production needs.
  • Participate in hiring, promotion activities, and evaluations of Team Members.
  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations between departments.
  • Be responsible for safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets for assigned production areas.
  • Ensure Team Members adhere to HMGMA policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with Team Members and management.
  • Administer and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong command of the English language (written and spoken).

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 1 – 5 years of job-related experience.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Competency in teamwork, monitoring and feedback, prompt judgment and action, and problem solving.
