CORE Community Organized Relief Effort is seeking a WASH Consultant to join our International Humanitarian Response Roster. This role provides specialized expertise in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) to support rapid deployment during humanitarian crises.
What You'll Do
- Provide expert technical guidance on WASH program design and implementation in emergency response contexts.
- Conduct rapid needs assessments and develop strategic plans for WASH interventions.
- Lead the design and monitoring of safe water supply, sanitation facilities, and hygiene promotion activities.
- Build local capacity and train staff and partners on WASH standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with other sectors to ensure integrated humanitarian response.
What We're Looking For
- Proven professional experience in WASH programming within international humanitarian response.
- Strong technical knowledge of SPHERE standards and other relevant humanitarian guidelines.
- Experience in emergency contexts, including rapid onset disasters and complex emergencies.
- Ability to deploy on short notice and work effectively in high-pressure, insecure environments.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills in English; additional language skills are a plus.
Work Mode
This is a remote consultant position on an on-call roster, requiring readiness for international travel and deployment to field locations.
