Brenntag Canada Inc. is looking for a Warehouse Operator to join our team. In this essential onsite role, you'll be responsible for the safe handling, packaging, and movement of materials, ensuring our warehouse operates efficiently and adheres to the highest standards of quality and safety.
What You'll Do
- Load and unload bulk, drummed, toted, or bagged material from company trucks, common carriers, and tankers.
- Perform all duties in a safe manner and follow all rules and regulations.
- Properly care for and use all equipment such as forklifts, drum handling equipment, pumps, and hoses.
- Secure a dual sign-off before transferring any product from one vessel to another.
- Perform packaging and blending of hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals into proper containers like totes, drums, or bulk vessels.
- Maintain the stock and warehouse facility in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.
- Follow all operating procedures, work instructions, and quality systems.
- Report all non-conformances as they occur using proper forms.
- Attend and actively participate in all required safety and quality meetings.
- Complete all required training as part of the Regulatory/Compliance Training Program.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of experience in a similar role within an industrial or chemical environment.
- Ability to repeatedly bend; lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 100 pounds using proper techniques.
- Ability to wear required protective equipment like safety goggles/glasses, Tyvek suits, and steel-toed boots.
- Ability to give and receive verbal and written instructions in English.
- Comfort and experience operating a Forklift and performing general warehouse duties.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, pre-employment fit-for-duty assessment, E-Verify, and drug screening.
