Modine is looking for a Warehouse Leadhand to play a key role in our warehouse operations. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and shipping materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring the warehouse is clean and organized. This role is ideal for a safety-focused, detail-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Oversee daily operations, coordinating shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks while directing the team to meet production goals and safety standards.
- Supervise, mentor, and train warehouse associates, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Coordinate receiving, picking, packing, and shipping activities to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Manage inventory levels, perform stock counts, and ensure proper storage.
- Safely operate and train others on forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Complete shift reports, documenting production delays, damages, or shortages.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure proper waste disposal.
- Supervise and monitor incoming delivery trucks.
- Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store).
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).
- Perform inventory controls and maintain high-quality standards for audits.
- Participate in monthly and year-end inventory counts.
- Report any discrepancies and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience working as a warehouse specialist.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Attentive to detail with strong leadership skills.
Nice to Have
- Forklift experience, with a valid license, is an asset.
