HUS Helsinki University Hospital is hiring a Ward Secretary (Osastonsihteeri) for a fixed-term, daytime role within the Porvoo hospital area. You’ll primarily work across reception desks and wards, managing varied tasks in different units as part of a multi-professional team.
What You'll Do
- Perform patient admissions and discharges.
- Schedule appointments and treatments.
- Place orders for examinations.
- Handle documentation and outgoing correspondence.
- Provide multi-channel customer service and client interaction.
- Participate in developing operations, the community, and your own expertise.
- Influence shift planning.

- Relevant work experience.
- Ability to work multi-professionally.
- Strong grasp of overall processes.
- Skill in meeting patients with excellent customer service.
- Initiative and proactivity.

- Strong organization and prioritization skills.
- Technical readiness to use various information systems.
- Vaccination protection as required by the Communicable Diseases Act (for those working in client and patient areas).
- Health clearance for pulmonary tuberculosis (for those working in healthcare units).
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of specialized medical care.
- Previous experience as a ward secretary.
- Proficiency with the Apotin system.
- Previous customer service experience.
