About the Role
The selected candidate will be responsible for discovering and evaluating security flaws across networks, systems, and applications, providing actionable insights to reduce risk exposure.
Responsibilities
- Identify security weaknesses in infrastructure, software, and configurations
- Conduct regular vulnerability scans using automated and manual methods
- Analyze scan results to prioritize risks based on severity and exploitability
- Classify vulnerabilities according to standardized frameworks and scoring systems
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to verify findings
- Develop remediation strategies for confirmed vulnerabilities
- Track mitigation progress through resolution workflows
- Produce detailed reports on vulnerability status and trends
- Support incident response efforts when security breaches occur
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging threats and attack techniques
- Assess third-party tools and services for potential security gaps
- Contribute to security policy development and compliance initiatives
- Participate in penetration testing exercises as needed
- Communicate technical risks to non-technical stakeholders
- Ensure scanning activities do not disrupt operational systems
