About the Role
This role involves designing land development projects from concept through construction documentation, ensuring technical accuracy and regulatory compliance while working closely with clients and consultants.
Responsibilities
- Design site layouts for residential and commercial land development projects
- Prepare engineering drawings and construction documentation
- Conduct stormwater management and drainage analyses
- Perform grading and earthwork calculations
- Develop erosion and sediment control plans
- Coordinate with surveyors and geotechnical specialists
- Support environmental permitting efforts
- Review local zoning and development regulations
- Engage with public agencies during plan review processes
- Manage project timelines and deliverables
- Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards
- Participate in client meetings and design coordination sessions
- Utilize civil design software for modeling and drafting
- Assist in cost estimation and construction budgeting
- Review contractor submittals and respond to RFIs
