About the Role

United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB) is hiring a VP1, IT Support Engineer to deliver comprehensive technical support for hardware, software, and systems. In this role, you will ensure operational continuity and provide a high-quality service experience for users.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver first and second-level technical support for hardware, software, and system-related issues.
  • Manage and resolve incidents and service requests via a ticketing system, ensuring adherence to SLAs.
  • Maintain clear communication with users and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Provide remote and on-site support across multiple locations as required.
  • Administer user accounts, access controls, and group policies in Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
  • Perform system provisioning, configuration, and maintenance for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes with timely setup and deactivation of IT resources.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain IT hardware including PCs, printers, scanners, and peripherals.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and documentation for lifecycle tracking.
  • Monitor system health and performance, applying updates and patches as needed.
  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving basic network issues (LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN).
  • Support network device setup, configuration, and troubleshooting under guidance from the infrastructure team.
  • Collaborate with network and infrastructure teams to ensure optimal connectivity and uptime.
  • Work closely with the regional IT team in Singapore to align support practices and escalate complex issues.
  • Participate in cross-site initiatives, knowledge sharing sessions, and standardization efforts.
  • Act as a liaison between local users and regional IT teams to ensure consistent service delivery.
  • Generate and analyze reports on ticket resolution, asset status, and compliance metrics.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and known issues for the internal knowledge base.
  • Support implementation of endpoint protection, data loss prevention, and other security tools.
  • Ensure systems are compliant with internal policies and external regulations through regular audits.
  • Assist in vulnerability remediation and enforce IT security best practices.
  • Participate in IT projects such as hardware refreshes, software rollouts, infrastructure upgrades, and office relocations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute technology initiatives.
  • Provide post-deployment support and feedback to improve future rollouts.
