Every seeks a Sales Engineer to drive the success of IBM Automation solutions for our Canada region. In this role, you will apply your deep technical knowledge to support the sales cycle, enable partners, and design solutions focused on Observability, FinOps, and IT Financial Management.
What You'll Do
- Establish relationships with Arrow Supplier teams, partners, and customers to support joint Sales, Marketing, and Services objectives.
- Leverage knowledge of competitive solutions to consult effectively with customers.
- Execute technical sales calls as lead or team member.
- Configure and document hardware, software, Cloud, service, and education solutions to meet partner/customer needs and supplier objectives.
- Complete required presales documentation quickly, accurately, and completely.
- Qualify sales opportunities in terms of customer technical requirements, competition, and decision-making processes.
- Present and market the design and value of proposed supplier Technology solutions and business cases to partners, customers, prospects, and Arrow management.
What We're Looking For
- A 4-year degree with 5 years of related experience preferred, or equivalent experience.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with IBM Automation offerings and principles, including current industry certification(s).
- Ability to present effectively in front of groups.
- Clean and credible social media presence.
- 30% - 40% travel requirement.
Nice to Have
- Working knowledge of Watsonx.data, Watsonx.AI and Watsonx.governance.
- Certification(s) in Cloud technologies (IBM Automation/Red Hat OpenShift preferred).
- Certification(s) or experience in OSX, Windows and Linux operating systems (RHEL preferred).
- Certification(s) or experience in virtualization & container technologies.
- Certification(s) or experience in scripting or programming language(s).
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, specifically Kubernetes and expertise in leveraging them for large-scale AI workloads.
- Ability to identify fundamental problems from real-world cloud use-cases and to design, build and validate successful AI solutions.
- Working knowledge on data workflows and foundation models.
