Stack Builders is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of secure and scalable infrastructure for our clients in the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia. You will tackle complex technical challenges and ensure high-performing systems run reliably.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) for scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with well-defined short-, mid-, and long-term solutions.
- Promote and implement Infrastructure as Code practices using tools like Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish robust monitoring, alerting, and logging systems.
- Implement and maintain security best practices, including secrets management, identity access control, and vulnerability scanning.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks and production incidents to ensure system reliability.
- Advocate for automation, observability, and DevOps culture across projects.
- Continuously explore and recommend emerging technologies to enhance operational excellence.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or a similar infrastructure-focused engineering role.
- Advanced spoken and written English skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing cloud environments, preferably AWS or GCP.
- Experience with Linux environments and scripting (Bash, Python, Go, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab CI.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or similar).
- Solid understanding of system security, networking concepts, and automation practices.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, ECS, or other container-based solutions).
- Problem-solving skills, assertive communication, and a collaborative spirit.
