Intrahealth is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design and evolve the infrastructure and delivery systems behind their flagship EMR platform. This role is central to ensuring reliable, scalable, and secure cloud environments in a fast-moving, technically deep team that values continuous learning and AI-augmented development.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain Kubernetes-based infrastructure and cloud environments.
- Own the platform that development teams build on, ensuring it is reliable, scalable, and secure.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines that enable fast, safe, and repeatable deployments.
- Automate everything from build to production, with manual gates as the exception, not the rule.
- Leverage AI coding tools and agentic workflows as a core part of work to accelerate infrastructure automation, pipeline development, and operational problem solving.
- Define and manage infrastructure using Terraform and related IaC tooling.
- Ensure environments are reproducible, version-controlled, and auditable.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
- Ensure system health visibility and drive reliability improvements through data, not guesswork.
- Embed security practices into infrastructure and pipelines.
- Support compliance requirements relevant to healthcare data across multiple jurisdictions.
- Work closely with development teams to remove friction from the delivery process.
- Partner with external infrastructure providers to plan, coordinate, and deliver platform work.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated fluency with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code) and agentic workflows.
- 5+ years of industry experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or infrastructure roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, troubleshooting, cluster management).
- Strong proficiency with Terraform or equivalent infrastructure-as-code tooling.
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar).
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, or Go).
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP acceptable).
- Solid understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, and container security.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with Git-based version control systems.
Nice to Have
- Experience with agentic orchestration, harness engineering, or automated development pipelines.
- Experience with healthcare, EMR, or regulated environments (PHIPA/PIPEDA).
- Experience with service mesh, GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux), or platform engineering patterns.
- Familiarity with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar).
