About the Role

Synchrony seeks a VP, Regional Director - Midwest to lead a dynamic field sales team dedicated to increasing CareCredit adoption within dental practices. You will play a key role in hiring, mentoring, and directing a team of Metro & Area Practice Development Managers to drive growth across the region, reporting directly to the VP, Dental Sales Leader.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a regional field sales team to ensure execution of national and regional sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Coach and mentor the field sales team through monthly one-on-ones and benchmark evaluations.
  • Increase the amount financed per provider and drive application volume across the portfolio.
  • Conduct virtual and in-person co-travels with practice development managers.
  • Assist in implementing effective performance measures and reward systems.
  • Implement strategies and best practices with your team to drive product usage.
  • Assist the VP, Dental Sales Leader in systems management to maximize field time, provider visits, and expense control.
  • Partner with marketing, operations, and other departments to develop materials and systems that boost team productivity.
  • Work in the field to monitor performance, gather the voice of the customer, and measure results.
  • Provide value-added analysis and reporting for your region, using tools like Salesforce to identify growth opportunities.
  • Work with industry leadership to deploy effective support campaigns and priorities.
  • Partner with the Tradeshow Team to ensure proper coverage and support for regional events.
  • Effectively manage team travel and expenses in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Lead team efforts to support industry trade shows.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor's Degree, or in lieu of a degree, 5+ years of experience in Financial Services and/or outside sales.
  • Minimum of 2 years of territory sales or marketing experience with a proven track record.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading, developing, mentoring, and coaching sales professionals.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time, including overnight and some weekend trips.
  • This is a work-from-home role, but you must be located within, or willing to relocate to, the Midwest region (IL, KS, KY, MI, MO, MN, NC, OH, SC, TN, WI).
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation, and submit fingerprints as part of onboarding.
  • Must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to Have

  • Healthcare, Sales, Finance, or Marketing experience.
  • Two years of experience working in a dental or medical practice setting, particularly in an influencing role.
  • Private Label Sales and Marketing experience, and finance business acumen.
  • Two years of experience in a sales leadership role, building teams and driving sales metrics.
  • Excellent client relationship and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of customer financial drivers and needs.
  • A customer-focused mindset with the ability to respond quickly to needs.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills (written, oral, non-verbal).
  • Proven ability to work remotely and independently.
  • Strong strategic planning skills.
  • Experience with CRM & Sales Analytics platforms such as Salesforce and Tableau.

Team & Environment

You will lead a team of Metro & Area Practice Development Managers and report directly to the VP, Dental Sales Leader.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Annual salary range: $110,000 - $185,000.
  • Inclusive company culture where individual skills, experience, and voice are valued.

Work Mode

This is a hybrid role with a work-from-home base, but you must be located within the specified Midwest region. Extensive travel within the region is required.
