NextGen Healthcare is hiring a VP, Product Management to own the vision and execution for our NextGen Office (NGO) platform, an EHR and Practice Management solution for small-market ambulatory healthcare organizations. In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for strategic growth, customer retention, and cost optimization.
What You'll Do
- Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for the NextGen Office (NGO) platform.
- Drive end-to-end product lifecycle management from roadmap planning to commercialization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and support teams.
- Work closely with senior leadership to develop strategic plans for growth and legacy system enhancements.
- Lead M&A and strategic partnership evaluations, providing market insight and supporting integration.
- Ensure regulatory compliance by managing timelines and requirements specific to NextGen Office.
- Analyze customer and market intelligence to inform roadmap decisions and product differentiation.
- Track and improve key product performance metrics, such as patient adoption and satisfaction.
- Build, lead, and mentor a team of product managers and facilitate stakeholder collaboration.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Healthcare Administration, business, software engineering, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in a product management role in a large-scale commercial software environment.
- Healthcare/healthcare IT industry experience in either an Ambulatory or Acute Healthcare setting.
- Proven track record of bringing complex solutions to market for the small market ambulatory space.
- Experience writing business cases, performing market analysis, and developing go-to-market strategies.
- Significant general management and P&L experience, aligning product strategy with financial goals.
- Experience navigating complex situations and managing multiple stakeholders with diverse priorities.
- Knowledge of MVP concepts, Agile development, and Product Lifecycle practices.
- Deep understanding of EHR and practice management technology and the small-market ambulatory market.
- Strong leadership, communication, executive presentation, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

Team & Environment
You will lead a dedicated team of product managers and report directly to the Chief Product Officer (CPO).
