Hilo by Aktiia is hiring a VP of Commercial to lead the entire growth engine from awareness to acquisition, retention, and lifetime value for a category-defining medical device. You will scale the business efficiently through precision, automation, and AI-driven performance, owning commercial strategy, forecasting, budget, and team leadership.
What You'll Do
- Own the full customer journey from awareness to conversion, retention, and advocacy.
- Lead integrated growth across SEO, Paid Search, Paid Social, PR, CRM, and Affiliate channels.
- Combine performance, brand, and conversion optimization into one cohesive growth strategy.
- Oversee the B2B acquisition funnel from incoming leads to sealed deals.
- Own pricing and market expansion strategy and execution.
- Represent the commercial function within the leadership team, driving clarity and alignment.
- Develop, own, and manage the commercial and marketing budget.
- Build and continuously improve forecasting models for revenue, acquisition, and retention.
- Deliver accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts tied to key business metrics.
- Place AI and data at the core of marketing decision-making and execution.
- Use predictive analytics and automation to optimize targeting and retention strategies.
- Define and elevate the brand's narrative and emotional impact.
- Oversee all commercial channels including website, webshop, Amazon, Galaxus, and retail partners.
- Ensure third-party channels are fully stocked, compliant, and optimized for growth.
- Build a small, specialized, high-performing team and instill a culture of accountability.
- Collaborate across Product, Medical, and Operations for flawless execution in a regulated environment.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years in senior marketing, growth, or commercial leadership roles.
- Proven success building and scaling at least one significant growth story that created substantial enterprise value.
- Deep knowledge of performance marketing, funnel optimization, and CRO.
- Strategic understanding of brand building and creative development.
- Highly data- and AI-literate: experienced with automation, analytics, and decision systems.
- Strong financial acumen — experience in forecasting, budgeting, and commercial planning.
- Skilled in leading compact, expert teams and managing external partners effectively.
Nice to Have
- Experience in consumer tech, health tech, or e-commerce.
- MedTech experience is a plus.
Team & Environment
You will build a small, high-impact team. The structure is a Navy SEAL team: small, specialized, high-performing, and mission-aligned. This role reports to the executive level / leadership team.
