MUBI is looking for a VP Communications, US to lead our US publicity and communications strategy from New York. You will be responsible for setting our strategic priorities and leading the US Communications team, working closely with global colleagues.
What You'll Do
- Lead US publicity and campaign strategies for MUBI Releases and Productions.
- Set Communications strategy and priorities for the US market.
- Manage an in-house team of six based across New York and Los Angeles.
- Line manage two direct reports, one in New York and one in Los Angeles.
- Have overall responsibility for publicity strategy at North American festivals.
- Oversee theatrical and digital MUBI Releases, plus brand activity such as MUBI Podcast, MUBI GO, MUBI Notebook, and MUBI Editions.
- Collaborate with a US awards consultant on strategy and campaigns for select MUBI Releases.
What We're Looking For
- 15+ years of US PR experience, either in-house or agency side.
- A strong track record of working with both established and emerging talent.
- An entrepreneurial attitude: highly self-motivated, autonomous, and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- An analytics-driven mindset, with ability to determine KPIs, measure campaign effectiveness, and optimize accordingly.
- Impeccable attention to detail and highly organized.
- Experience managing budgets and using resources efficiently.
- Experience directly managing small teams and working alongside international teams.
- Working knowledge of software such as Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
Nice to Have
- Film or entertainment PR experience.
- A strong understanding of today’s film industry and streaming landscape.
Team & Environment
You will lead the US Communications team, an in-house group of six based across New York and Los Angeles, with two direct reports. You’ll work closely with the Global Communications, Marketing, and Content teams.

- Compensation up to $200,000.
