Vosker is looking for a Director of Procurement & Transportation to manage all purchasing, procurement, and transportation activities for camera manufacturing. You will ensure optimal resource availability while controlling costs, deadlines, and quality for all components, raw materials, and finished products.
What You'll Do
- Define and lead the procurement of electronic, optical, and mechanical components.
- Select, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, ensuring quality, reliability, and competitiveness.
- Supervise order management, inventory, and purchasing forecasts alongside production.
- Monitor supplier markets for trends in pricing, innovation, and availability.
- Organize and optimize incoming logistics and procurement flows.
- Coordinate domestic and international transportation, including customs and export/import regulations.
- Establish KPIs to measure transport efficiency and service rates.
- Manage relationships with transportation providers.
- Supervise and lead a multidisciplinary team of buyers and transport coordinators.
- Implement a continuous improvement process focused on cost reduction, deadline optimization, and process digitization.
- Participate in cross-functional projects for new product launches, new market openings, and quality certifications.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in logistics, purchasing, supply chain, or engineering with a specialization in industrial management.
- 7 to 10 years in a similar role, ideally in an industrial or high-tech environment.
- Knowledge of electronic components and global supply chains.
- Proficiency in ERP (e.g., Oracle), planning, and flow management tools.
- Skills in negotiation, project management, and leadership.
- Fluency in English for international supplier relations.
- Organizational skills and an analytical mindset.
- Responsiveness and the ability to handle unexpected situations.
- A results-oriented approach focused on customer satisfaction.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
