LifeWise Academy invites dedicated individuals to serve as Volunteers, providing crucial support and mentorship to children in our LifeWise classes. This role centers on creating a positive and nurturing environment where students can learn and grow.
What You'll Do
- Model positive behavior by striving to model godly character and setting the example for classroom conduct.
- Actively listen during Bible lessons and participate fully in classroom activities.
- Develop meaningful relationships with students by learning their names and getting to know them.
- Pull up a chair or walk around the room during activities to chat with students.
- Assist the teacher(s) with students who behave inappropriately during class.
- Stand or sit next to a student to remind them of desired behavior.
- Relocate a student to another desk if inappropriate behavior continues.
- Help with classroom activities like passing out supplies and helping lead class games.
- Sit with and provide extra help to students with special needs.
- Escort students to the restroom and stand outside while they are inside.
- Chaperone children to and from their LifeWise classes as needed.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
- Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
