Unitek Learning is looking for a Vocational Nursing Instructor to teach in our LVN program on a part-time basis. You'll play a key role in shaping the next generation of nurses in a collegiate work environment.
What You'll Do
- Teach both lecture content and clinical rotations, which can occur on weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
- Make continuous efforts to improve the quality of instruction by reviewing and using innovative methodologies.
- Demonstrate or acquire skills for utilizing online activities as enhancers to course material.
- Assist with reviewing and revising the syllabus for your specific course.
- Submit required program reports and forms to the Director of the program in a timely manner.
- Keep current with new technologies and safety regulations.
- Maintain student records of attendance, grades, and skills check-off forms.
- Assist with program data collection that meets set due dates and deadlines.
- Assist with updating and maintaining student files related to clinical requirements, immunizations, and educational requirements.
- Participate in professional development and maintain CE hours for renewed licensure.
- Actively participate in committees as assigned, prioritizing teaching responsibilities.
What We're Looking For
- Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with current licensure in the state where you are applying to teach.
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing; Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or credentials as required by state regulations.
- Able to meet the faculty requirements set by the Board of Vocational Nursing.
- Current knowledge of nursing practice and experience in a clinical setting.
- Ability to mentor students in classroom, lab, and clinical settings.
- Ability to work independently without close supervision.
- Broad knowledge of nursing sciences.
- Successful handling of day-to-day operations in the nursing lab.
- Proficient, strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Current immunizations and Basic Life Support Certification.

- Compensation: $50-$55/hr based on experience.

Work Mode
This is an onsite position. You must be available for part-time evening shifts (two evenings per week from 5:30pm-11pm) and Saturday clinicals (7am-7pm).
