The Video Editor at WFS Group is a hybrid creative-growth role responsible for creating viral, trend-aware, platform-native social content that drives growth across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and long-form YouTube. The role requires thinking like a creator and strategist, not just a technician, with a focus on content performance, algorithmic reach, and repurposing long-form content into high-performing short-form assets.
What You'll Do
- Create and edit short-form viral content for Instagram Reels
- Create and edit short-form viral content for TikTok
- Create and edit short-form viral content for YouTube Shorts
- Edit long-form YouTube content with strong pacing, storytelling, and retention strategy
- Repurpose long-form content into high-performing short-form clips
- Apply trend-aware editing styles, captions, formats, and posting strategies
- Add captions, b-roll, sound effects, pattern interrupts, and motion graphics where appropriate
- Collaborate with leadership, marketing, and sales teams on content direction
- Organize and manage content files and publishing workflows
- Iterate quickly based on performance data and feedback
- Stay current on platform trends, algorithm shifts, and emerging content formats
- Contribute ideas for hooks, angles, and creative direction
- Support brand growth through consistent, high-performing content execution
What We're Looking For
- Deeply understand Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and YouTube long-form
- Know the difference between editing for clarity and editing for virality
- Actively follow trends, formats, creators, and platform behavior
- Understand how hooks, pacing, captions, jump cuts, and pattern interrupts drive retention
- Can edit both short-form and long-form content and repurpose one into the other
- Think in terms of growth, reach, watch time, and engagement
- Enjoy testing content, reviewing performance, and iterating quickly
- Want your work to directly grow accounts, not just organize content
- Are uncomfortable being accountable to growth metrics
- Do not believe 'the algorithm is random'
- Do not eat pizza with ranch
