About the role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and competent Media Content Strategist to spearhead our visual storytelling initiatives. In this position, you will collaborate intimately with the Head of Global Communication & Brand to supervise the development of impactful visual narratives that engage diverse audience segments. You will additionally provide professional guidance and technical assistance to our content creators while managing the production and distribution of multimedia materials aligned with our annual content strategy. Tasks Video Production Planning (40%) - Maintain comprehensive tracking of video production responsibilities and workflows - Establish precise guidelines, timelines, and project deliverables - Synchronize production efforts across internal teams and external collaborators - Guarantee accountability for multimedia outputs and punctual completion - Function as primary liaison for agencies and independent professionals on video-related matters - Partner with Brand Content Advisor to design targeted video productions - Champion the strategic importance of visual content within the organization Training, Capacity-Building, and Technical Support (30%) - Generate detailed instructional resources for content producers regarding video creation best practices - Assist in identifying and recruiting videographers across Light for the World's program countries - Serve as technical resource for Country Communications Officers/Managers regarding video inquiries - Conduct video training sessions for internal colleagues as scheduling permits Video Editing and Distribution (20%) - Process raw and general video content consistent with yearly content strategy - Generate supplementary footage for content packages on CANTO - Proactively distribute video content internally and respond to spontaneous requests - Edit videos for specialized purposes, maintaining superior production standards General Content Management (10%) - Support Brand Content Advisor in creative content generation and narrative development across multiple teams and regions - Facilitate ethical and efficient media acquisition during content-related travel Requirements - Passionate about ethical storytelling, content creation, and video production - Demonstrable experience in video editing with robust professional portfolio - Strong project management capabilities and video project coordination expertise - Commitment to skill acquisition and knowledge development - Proficiency in professional editing software and diverse video formats - Understanding of communication channel and cultural nuanced requirements - Exceptional English and German communication skills; French or Portuguese proficiency preferred - Desirable knowledge of accessibility in content production - Experience or enthusiasm for multicultural professional environments - Personal dedication to international development and human rights principles Benefits - Join a highly motivated team valuing individual experience and collaborative growth - Exceptional opportunity to drive meaningful change through an internationally recognized development organization - Organizational commitment to professional exploration and individual excellence - Emphasis on work-life balance with flexible scheduling and remote work options - Professional environment prioritizing continuous learning and participatory leadership We are eagerly anticipating your digital application.
