Trupanion is looking for a part-time Veterinary Sales Associate in the St. Louis, MO area. In this hybrid role, you will be the face of Trupanion, dedicated to building and strengthening partnerships with veterinary practices. Your mission is to educate hospital staff on the advantages of pet insurance and integrate this knowledge into their client care workflow.

What You'll Do

Visit veterinary practices to build relationships and educate hospital staff on the advantages of having insured clients.
Incorporate pet insurance education into veterinary hospital workflows.
Assist in maintaining and building the company's success through a high level of activity.
Perform administrative work from a home office.
Occasionally work weekends for Veterinary Conferences.

What We're Looking For

A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital environment.
Thorough understanding of the Veterinary Industry.
Passion for helping eliminate economic euthanasia in dogs & cats.
Personality to build relationships with partnering veterinarian practices.
Ability to present to hospital owners and staff with confidence.
Pet passionate with a strong belief in the company's mission.
Able to establish and maintain good customer relations with courteous, efficient, and professional service.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
An innate entrepreneurial drive, embodying persistence and patience.
Outstanding communication, listening skills, and a professional appearance.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (primarily Outlook, Excel, and Word).
Must possess a valid and clean driver’s license record and a reliable car.
Must live within a 60-mile radius of the St. Louis area.
Must be willing to be on the road visiting hospitals 16 hours a week.
Must acquire and maintain a Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance License.
Must be vaccinated as the job requires physically visiting animal hospitals.
