About the Role
This role involves coordinating patient care activities, supporting veterinary staff, and maintaining high standards of client service within a busy animal health facility.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to veterinary staff
- Assist in maintaining accurate medical records for all patients
- Coordinate admission and discharge procedures for animal patients
- Provide routine care including feeding, grooming, and medication administration
- Support veterinarians and technicians during examinations and treatments
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout their stay
- Follow protocols for sanitation and infection control
- Communicate updates to pet owners as directed by clinical staff
- Maintain inventory of medical and comfort supplies
- Assist in organizing patient schedules and treatment plans
- Respond promptly to patient needs during overnight shifts when required
- Document care activities according to facility standards
- Transport patients between departments as needed
- Assist with kennel and treatment area cleanliness
- Follow emergency procedures during critical situations
- Uphold animal welfare standards at all times
- Participate in team trainings and safety drills
- Support new team members with onboarding tasks
- Adhere to facility policies and professional guidelines
- Promote a calm and stress-free environment for animals
