About the Role

Pfizer is looking for a Vaccines Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with healthcare partners to grow the appropriate use of Pfizer vaccines and increase immunization rates. You'll achieve this by identifying shared objectives, aligning resources, and deploying strategic solutions, with a primary focus on ensuring access to our vaccine portfolio.

What You'll Do

  • Form collaborative partnerships with decision-makers at large integrated delivery networks and medical groups to conduct needs assessments and deliver compliant solutions.
  • Develop productive relationships with managed care organizations and other health plans to ensure access and appropriate use of Pfizer vaccines and programs.
  • Build relationships with State Department of Health Immunization Program Management to understand state policies and implement tactics that maximize vaccine utilization.
  • Lead local coordination of internal colleagues at targeted accounts through communication and collaboration to ensure alignment and maximize opportunities.
  • Prioritize customers, opportunities, and projects by leveraging data sets and stakeholder input for optimal decision making.
  • Execute marketing programs across customer segments and present approved materials to deliver value-added messaging.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with targeted Integrated Delivery Networks, Medical Groups, and Buying Groups.
  • Drive innovation and new approaches to help exceed business unit objectives.
  • Collaborate across all customer-facing teams to ensure a unified, customer-first approach.
  • Stay current and strategically align with the changing healthcare environment, including health information technology and quality metrics.
  • Provide marketing and strategy teams with key local and customer-specific insights for crafting new materials.
  • Cultivate relationships and generate support from Key Opinion Leaders and organizational decision makers.
  • Maintain active customer plans and data sets via company planning resources, sharing information with business partners.
  • Collaborate with local immunization panels, AAP & AAFP chapters, and coalitions to promote appropriate compliance with immunization practices.
  • Meet or exceed product performance objectives for your assigned portfolio of vaccines.

What We're Looking For

  • BS/BA Degree required.
  • 5-10 years of previous pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales experience with a proven track record of performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess account needs and align appropriate tools and resources.
  • Proven strong business acumen, problem solving, strategic thinking, and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, collaboration, and effective utilization of resources.
  • Experience leveraging data and all available information to prioritize business opportunities.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, & Outlook.
  • Must live in or be willing to relocate to a location within a commutable distance to Raleigh East, NC.
  • Approximately 25%-50% travel is required.
  • Valid US driver’s license and a driving record in compliance with company standards.

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Prior team management and/or account management experience.
  • Demonstrated advanced negotiation skills; contracting experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience with vaccine or specialty products.

Team & Environment

You will collaborate across all customer-facing teams, including Internal Medicine, Oncology, Government Relations, Medical, IS, and Key Account Management (KAM), taking a one-Pfizer approach.

Work Mode

This is a local position based in Raleigh East, NC. The role requires a commutable residence to the territory headquarters.
