What You'll Do
Take a lead role in deploying and optimizing advanced meat processing systems for customers throughout the western United States. After completing initial training in Germany, you’ll travel regularly to client sites to install, demonstrate, and fine-tune equipment used in sausage and protein production. You’ll ensure each system is correctly matched to the customer’s production needs and performance goals.
Train both customers and internal teams on best practices in sausage fabrication, processing techniques, and equipment utilization. Serve as the primary technical authority for all sausage-related product lines, guiding adoption and troubleshooting in real-world environments. Share field insights with engineering and product teams in Germany to inform improvements and market-specific adaptations.
Identify new applications for existing machinery beyond traditional meat processing—such as in seafood, frozen desserts, or alternative proteins. Support strategic initiatives where your technical background adds value, and help expand the company’s footprint in evolving protein sectors.
Requirements
- Formal education or certification in Meat Science, Butchery, or a related field, with at least ten years of hands-on experience in industrial meat and sausage production.
- Proven background in large-scale protein manufacturing environments, including products like hams, salamis, poultry, or processed sausages.
- Direct experience with meat processing machinery suppliers or industrial food equipment implementation.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory responsibilities in a production or technical support setting.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently across the US West Coast, including multi-day trips and occasional international travel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master Butcher (Metzgermeister) certification or equivalent advanced trade qualification.
- Fluency in both German and English, enabling seamless coordination with technical teams in Germany.
Benefits
Receive comprehensive training in Germany prior to US deployment, covering technical systems and operational protocols. Benefit from a home base in the Los Angeles area, minimizing unnecessary overnight travel due to high regional client density. The position supports frequent travel with associated logistical and accommodation support. This role offers a unique blend of field engineering, technical education, and market development in a specialized sector of food technology.
