Avantia Law is looking for a US Qualified Consultant Lawyer on a consultancy basis to lead the negotiation of investment-related legal documents. In this role, you will manage the full contract lifecycle for a fast-paced, high-volume workflow.
What You'll Do
- Spearhead negotiation of investment-related NDAs, joinder agreements, engagement letters, and non-reliance letters.
- Manage every phase of the contract process from initial review and negotiation, guided by client playbooks, through to document execution.
- Work closely with fellow lawyers and paralegals on fast-paced, high-volume negotiations for pre-M&A contracts.
- Collaborate directly with counterparties while ensuring rapid turnaround times.
What We're Looking For
- Licensed to practice Law in the USA or Canada.
- 2+ years’ corporate/transactional law experience, either in-house or in private practice.
- Experience independently negotiating investment-related NDAs.
- Based in North America to align with client time zones and turnaround times.
- Ability to commit a minimum of 20 hours per week, spread across Monday to Friday.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with working for asset managers, investment banks, or other financial services firms.
Team & Environment
You will work closely with fellow Avantia lawyers and paralegals on collaborative negotiations.
Work Mode
This is a fully remote position open to candidates based in North America.
