Kyndryl is hiring a U.S. External Communications Lead to shape and execute strategic communications initiatives that elevate our brand and reputation in the United States. In this role, you will work closely with senior leadership, media, and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful messaging and storytelling that supports our business objectives.
What You'll Do
- Enhance Kyndryl U.S.'s reputation through strategic media engagement, executive visibility, and thought leadership.
- Manage U.S. press releases and other customer reference material.
- Act as the primary U.S. spokesperson, providing interview preparation and overseeing the media training program.
- Serve as the primary liaison for the U.S. agency partner, providing strategic direction aligned with the U.S. communications strategy.
- Ensure quality assurance, scope/budget adherence, and timely delivery of work.
- Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts and reporters.
- Identify pitch angles and secure interviews for Kyndryl subject matter experts with top-tier and industry media.
- Create and promote thought leadership content aligned with business growth areas, including bylines and executive POVs.
- Champion communications best practices and policies, providing clear guidance to ensure alignment and uphold excellence.
- Develop and execute a communications strategy for Kyndryl’s Strategic Sales operations.
- Plan, draft, and distribute communications across internal and external channels.
- Provide occasional in-person support for events.
- Monitor media coverage and leverage data and sentiment analysis to shape communications strategies.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Deep expertise in media relations across diverse formats and platforms.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful communications strategies.
- Strong grasp of AP style.
- Experience working directly with senior executives.
- Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills.
- Strong decision making abilities.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills.
Nice to Have
- 5+ years in public relations, ideally within a B2B, publicly traded multinational IT services company.
- Experience working in a matrixed, cross-functional team.
- Understanding of IT services industry vernacular and trends.
- Familiar with MS tooling suite (Teams, SharePoint, etc.).

- The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $77,040 to $146,640 based on a full-time schedule.
