UMB AG is hiring a Senior System Engineer to provide expert-level management and development of complex customer IT infrastructures for SMEs. In this role, you will act as a trusted technical advisor, ensuring optimal customer care and high-quality project implementation.

What You'll Do

Supervise complex customer infrastructures in close contact, on-site or remotely for SMEs.
Advise, operate, and further develop customer On-Premise, Private, and Public Cloud platforms across technologies like Microsoft Server & Clients, Azure, Network, and Virtualization.
Participate in Change-, Problem-, and Incident-Management (Second-Level) and independently implement projects.
Provide expertise in technical analysis and in-depth troubleshooting (3rd Level).
Capture IT infrastructure requirements as a Requirement Engineer and actively support the presales process.
Take responsibility for creating IT concepts and architectures based on customer needs.
Act as a trusted advisor to customers, communicating comfortably at a middle management level.
Ensure optimal customer care and project implementation with a focus on quality.

What We're Looking For

A completed higher IT education, comparable training with manufacturer certifications, or a career changer with relevant professional experience.
Broad, sound understanding of SME IT architectures.
Several years of experience with SME IT infrastructures in areas like Windows Server & Client, Network, and Cloud experience in Azure and M365.
A healthy spirit of innovation and motivation for improving and developing customer environments.
Enjoyment in analyzing, optimizing, and automating recurring tasks (e.g., with Windows PowerShell).
Ability to create documentation and presentations for decision-making bodies and IT operations.
Excellent German language skills and very good English language skills.
