DS Smith Packaging Limited is seeking a UK Logistics Operations Manager to lead all logistics-related activities for the UK. In this role, you will ensure inbound/outbound operations, warehousing, inventory management, and transportation are executed safely, properly, and cost-effectively, meeting customer expectations. You will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, spend optimisation, and key processes while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

Ensure execution of business and functional strategy to unlock short- and long-term sustainable value.
Build a robust logistics budget and forecast with Finance, Sales, and Supply Chain teams.
Oversee, manage, and measure Logistics performance versus prior year, budget, and forecast.
Work closely with Procurement to ensure effective contracts and identify cost and service opportunities.
Lead a continuous improvement culture in logistics, conducting workshops to identify efficiency opportunities.
Drive Group Supply Chain Transformation initiatives and agenda in Logistics across the Sub-Region.

What We're Looking For

Degree level qualification or equivalent by experience.
Proven experience in Logistics management, both in transformation and operational roles.
In-depth understanding of logistics operations, inventory management, and supply chain processes in the UK market.
Experience managing 3PL/4PL providers.
Previous experience with key systems such as ERP, TMS, and/or a WMS.
Advanced Excel skills.
Strong organisational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication, influencing, and leadership abilities.
Fluency in English.

Nice to Have

Experience ideally within the FMCG sector, within food production or similar industries.
Another European language is an advantage.
