MEA Platform is hiring an UI/UX Designer

About the Role

MEA Platform is hiring a UI/UX Designer to transform complex insurance workflows into intuitive, user-centered digital experiences. You will apply hands-on design skills and deep Figma expertise, leveraging AI-driven prototyping to rapidly create and iterate on interactive solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Translate user needs, business requirements, and insurance workflows into interactive prototypes, wireframes, user journeys, and high-fidelity UI designs.
  • Use AI-driven prototyping tools to generate interactive prototypes from natural language prompts and structured inputs.
  • Set up and manage complex Figma workfiles, port developments across files, and maintain structured prompting practices.
  • Ensure prototypes and UI assets adhere to design systems, visual conventions, accessibility, and responsiveness standards.
  • Plan, facilitate, and analyze user testing sessions on prototypes to validate design assumptions and iterate based on feedback.
  • Apply understanding of insurance products, underwriting operations, policy lifecycles, compliance, and risk workflows into the UI/UX design process.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and SMEs to interpret underwriting requirements for design solutions.
  • Maintain and evolve the company’s design system, component libraries, tokens, and conventions.
  • Work closely with CPO, Leads, Product managers, Developers, and other stakeholders to align on goals and communicate design decisions.
  • Present design concepts, prototypes, flows, and rationale clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Participate in agile rituals and share progress regularly.
  • Collect and interpret usability feedback, user research insights, and stakeholder inputs to refine prototypes.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure smooth hand-offs and accurate implementation of designs.

What We're Looking For

  • 3–5+ years of UI/UX design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design thinking, interactive prototypes, and polished UI outcomes.
  • Solid domain knowledge of insurance and underwriting operations, with ability to translate business logic and workflow requirements into intuitive digital experiences.
  • Deep proficiency in Figma, including expert understanding of Auto Layouts, components/variants, variables, conditions, and connected workflows.
  • Advanced experience with prototyping tools such as Figma Make, with ability to craft natural language prompts to drive interactive prototype creation.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, facilitate, and analyze usability testing on prototypes using structured UX research methods.
  • Strong communicator with excellent collaboration skills and ability to present actionable design reasoning.
  • Comfortable working in agile and rapid iterative delivery environments.
