About the Role

ICF is hiring a Tribal Technical Project Specialist to join a large early education training and technical assistance team. In this role, you will support the Tribal Capacity Building Center (TCBC), contributing to the development of innovative products and services for Tribal Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) grantees.

What You'll Do

  • Support client-designated priorities and special projects, including development of technical assistance (TA) materials like issue briefs, handouts, presentations, and webinars.
  • Participate in and/or lead various workgroups as requested by the client, Project Director, or Deputy Project Director.
  • Work with the DPD to ensure resources are created timely to support training, TA delivery, and client requests.
  • Assist in clarifying, refining, and strengthening data and reporting integrity and protocols.
  • Support the development of systems for tracking data and information used for reporting, project management, and internal training.
  • Work with the DPD to develop and support quarterly review and updates to the TCBC Resource Development Strategy.
  • Maintain a library of TCBC-approved templates.
  • Develop high-quality written and visual content for various TA and training resources, including infographics and innovative data visualization.
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts to develop, design, and deliver targeted and universal training events, including national trainings, webinars, and communities of practice.
  • Determine the clearest way to present information using instructional design, adult learning principles, and Indigenous Storywork for greatest comprehension.
  • Provide guidance on style guides and implement quality assurance processes on all written products.
  • Ensure resource design follows required style guides and templates and meets Section 508 compliance specifications.
  • Maintain a tracking process for all resources, including development, review, editing, 508 coding, and publishing.
  • Review and/or copyedit content from other team members to ensure voice, grammar, and style are correct and complex concepts are in plain language.
  • Support the 508-coding process and final publication of deliverables to the client website.
  • Manage updates to the client website based on the TCBC Work Plan.
  • Maintain an inventory of products and create a transition plan for contract completion.
  • Maintain Tribal CCDF contact information by working with the TA team monthly.
  • Assist in the completion of the TCBC monthly and annual reports.
  • Work with the SME team to provide Tribal grantees a quarterly updated Resource Bulletin with a hyperlinked list of resources.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in early childhood education, English or communication, or public policy/administration.
  • 5+ years of experience in early education and care programs or systems, public policy implementation/administration, or grants management for programs supporting children and families.
  • 5+ years of experience developing training and technical assistance resources within early care and education, including consultation, presentation, and facilitation.
  • 2+ years of experience with digital content strategy, audience engagement, communication best practices, and report writing.
  • 2+ years of experience in project management, implementing management processes, and supporting team members' use of tools and processes for quality services.
  • 2+ years of experience with data aggregation and reporting, including use of Excel, Smartsheet, and data visualization tools.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams).

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree, preferably in early childhood education, English or communication, or public policy/administration.
  • Experience writing plain language, audience-driven content.
  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative data aggregation and reporting.
  • Experience with design software (such as Canva) and supporting graphic design tasks.
  • Experience with website management and web-based quality controls.
  • Experience leading collaborative workgroups to consolidate feedback, develop recommendations, or resources.
  • Experience with e-learning, virtual meeting, webinar, and digital work management tools including SmartSheet, Power BI, and Mural.
  • Experience implementing remediation processes to ensure compliance with HHS 508 accessibility guidance.
  • Experience applying adult learning principles to develop technical assistance and training resources.

Team & Environment

You will be part of a large early education training and technical assistance (TA) team, supporting a team of subject matter experts (SME) in child development or ECE. You will report to a Project Director (PD) and Deputy Project Director (DPD).

Benefits & Compensation

  • Compensation Range: $67,020.00 - $113,934.00

Work Mode

This is a fully remote position, open to candidates nationwide in the United States (Nationwide Remote Office (US99)).
