About the Role

Transat AT is looking for a Treasury Director to lead our corporate and operational treasury functions. You will be responsible for overseeing financial risk management, ensuring optimal treasury operations, and maintaining strategic relationships with external financial partners while supporting the optimization of our capital structure.

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate and analyze financial risks related to currencies, fuel, and carbon across subsidiaries, recommending appropriate strategies.
  • Contribute to the development, update, and application of financial risk management policies and strategies.
  • Execute hedging programs using derivative instruments, ensure proper documentation, and monitor portfolio performance.
  • Conduct in‑depth risk analyses, recommend controls, and support the implementation of risk management systems.
  • Support the optimization of the corporate insurance program.
  • Manage corporate treasury activities: investment policy, capital preservation, optimal returns, negotiation of banking fees, and liquidity monitoring (13‑week cash‑flow).
  • Supervise the operational treasury team, including bank reconciliations, payment execution, and process improvement.
  • Manage short‑term bank borrowings, ensure compliance with restrictive covenants, prepare compliance reports, and follow up on agreements.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with banks and credit card processors, and contribute to key renewals and negotiations.
  • Support the implementation of technological solutions, including a Treasury Management System (TMS), to optimize treasury operations.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a specialization in Finance or Accounting.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant corporate treasury experience in a public company or financial institution, including experience managing a team.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial markets (currencies, commodities) and derivative instruments.
  • Strong analytical, communication, synthesis, and financial modelling skills.
  • Proven mastery of financial valuation tools.
  • Excellent proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Bloomberg, risk management systems, and Treasury Management System (TMS).
  • Oral and written fluency in French and English.

  • Graduate degree or CFA designation: an asset.
