GE HealthCare is hiring a Travel Technician to provide critical on-site technical leadership and hands-on service for customer-owned utility and industrial facilities. You will be responsible for the installation, startup, commissioning, and maintenance of complex power delivery equipment.

What You'll Do

Provide on-site technical direction, hands-on service, and leadership during installation, startup, commissioning, and maintenance.
Prepare detailed job planning documents that define the scope of work using engineering instructions, drawings, and process instructions.
Communicate effectively using customers' Critical to Quality needs in planning and execution.
Lead skilled labor performing work on customer sites.
Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on a wide range of equipment including power transformers, switchgear, protection relays, control systems, turbines, motors, and generators.
Diagnose electromechanical operations and maintenance problems in the Power Delivery field.
Perform administrative tasks such as writing technical reports, ordering materials, preparing job status reports, and managing time and expense sheets.
Exercise good judgment to control costs and expenditures.
Maintain a strong safety mindset to ensure all work meets technical requirements within GE safety standards.

What We're Looking For

Appropriately qualified Electrical Fitter with proven HV experience or Electrical Technician / Technologist or Electrician with proven HV experience.
Familiar with test equipment and testing procedures.
Computer literate.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent English speaking, reading, and writing skills.

Nice to Have

Proven experience in leading a field service team.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel; flexibility required.
Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Access.
Basic Workplace First Aid certification.
