As a Transportation Construction Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting on-site construction and inspection activities across the Ebensburg and surrounding Central and Western Pennsylvania regions. Your responsibilities include assisting project engineers and supervisors in maintaining adherence to design plans, specifications, and quality control protocols throughout the construction process.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist inspection and construction teams in verifying that work aligns with approved standards, specifications, and quality assurance plans.
- Perform daily support tasks such as completing field reports, checklists, and documentation to ensure project continuity.
- Follow project-specific overtime guidelines and remain available as required to meet construction timelines.
- Receive daily assignments and instructions from supervisory staff and carry out field-level duties related to material and workmanship inspections.
- Participate in daily coordination meetings with field personnel to support seamless project execution.
Qualifications
A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent post-secondary education is required. Candidates must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills in English and possess the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for measurements including length, area, and volume. Certifications such as ACI, NICET, or NECEPT are valued assets and may enhance eligibility.
