Steer (Fourth Economy) is hiring a Transportation & Commute Program Coordinator

About the Role

The Transportation & Commute Program Coordinator will support the management of onsite transportation and commute programs at client worksites in Atlanta, GA or Austin, TX for a global tech company. In this role, you'll help develop multimodal transportation strategies, implement corporate mobility initiatives, reduce parking demand and congestion through behavior change, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver effective employee commute solutions. You will work with Steer (Fourth Economy), an employee-owned firm focused on meaningful transportation and community impact.

What You'll Do

  • Plan and manage day-to-day transportation operations onsite for the client’s local offices in Atlanta, GA or Austin, TX
  • Provide remote transportation operations support to the other site
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for local site leadership
  • Communicate effectively regarding deliverables and requests
  • Escalate issues or challenges
  • Maintain records on project/task progress
  • Partner with the Operations Team to provide input, feedback, and monitor data for programs such as Vanpool, Transit, Carpool, and Commute Coaching
  • Support planning and development of site-based multimodal transportation strategies
  • Review site strategies with relevant colleagues and leadership
  • Track progress on site-based transportation strategies
  • Gather and analyze site-based transportation data
  • Identify relevant metrics
  • Develop insights and report on trends
  • Provide regular updates to leadership
  • Make actionable, data-driven recommendations
  • Plan and coordinate onsite transportation events such as bike safety and awareness campaigns, commuter fairs, and one-to-one commuter engagement
  • Maintain awareness of other local outreach events (internal and external)
  • Understand alignment of events with the site strategy
  • Manage relationships and meet regularly with the Parking Operations, Electric Vehicle, Bike Operations, Rideshare and Facilities teams
  • Exchange updates with internal vendor teams
  • Escalate issues with internal vendor teams
  • Manage tasks with internal vendor teams
  • Gather metrics from internal vendor teams
  • Coordinate on policies, programs, events and initiatives with internal vendor teams
  • Manage relationships with external partners such as transit agencies, local jurisdictions, and transportation management organizations (TMA/TMOs)
  • Stay informed about local regulations, policies and programs
  • Manage the site budget
  • Track contracts and renewal dates
  • Create purchase orders
  • Track vendor invoices
  • Update and adjust forecasts regularly
  • Manage and respond to employee inquiries and feedback
  • Develop content for site newsletters
  • Create communications plans
  • Collaborate with team members to increase the effectiveness of engagement against site metrics
  • Manage updates to internal transportation web pages
  • Participate in employee forums (e.g. new employee orientation)
  • Present at employee forums
  • Create content for employee forums
  • Work with other Transportation Coordinators to create consistent transportation behavior change programming
