This position supports critical training and engineering functions for remote operations within canyon environments at the Savannah River Site. The Training Remotability SME will collaborate with operations and training teams to develop, refine, and deliver instructional materials tailored to complex procedures involving telerobotic manipulators and melt cell systems.
What You'll Do
- Deliver training content using methods defined by operational and training leadership
- Review technical and administrative documentation to identify, interpret, and transform key information into structured training materials
- Provide expert insight on remote handling techniques and remotability principles
- Support training initiatives for TRM melt cell operations, including pour spout cleaning, sample collection, and insert installation and removal
- Perform mechanical handling assessments to support canyon simplification efforts
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in remotability training and remote operations in high-risk or complex industrial settings
- Proven ability to interpret technical documentation and convert it into effective learning content
- Direct experience with telerobotic manipulator systems and melt cell processes
- Background supporting specialized training programs for remote handling tasks
- Experience in engineering or training support for canyon-level activities
