Hannover Re invites you to join our 18-month trainee program as a Mathematics Property and Casualty Reinsurance Trainee. You will develop your skills through targeted training, independent projects, and rotations tailored to your strengths, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the non-life reinsurance spectrum, including Advanced Solutions, Insurance-Linked Securities, and Group Risk Management.
What You'll Do
- Gain insights into risk management, insurance product pricing, and the development of innovative reinsurance solutions.
- Learn the day-to-day business of various specialist departments and actively contribute your ideas.
- Support predominantly IT-related projects and contribute to our digital transformation.
- Spend several months abroad at one of our international locations.
- Participate in special trainee events and build a group-wide network.
What We're Looking For
- A very good Master's degree in (business) mathematics with a focus on stochastics, financial, or actuarial mathematics.
- Proficient user skills in English and conversational German skills.
- High IT affinity and strong self-organization abilities.
- Connecting power and a communicative personality.
Nice to Have
- Initial practical experience in the financial services industry or insurance/banking training.
- International experience, for example through study visits abroad.
