Responsibilities
- Act as the PURAVENTURA host, daily guide, interpreter, and manager for a group of 6 to 12 senior travelers on a 2- to 3-week multi-country tour.
- Provide leadership and ensure the well-being, safety, and smooth operation of the tour for all travelers.
- Follow the established travel itinerary as closely as possible, making adjustments only when necessary.
- Remain calm under stress, follow protocols in special situations, and independently provide flexible solutions.
- Ensure that services from partners meet our quality, safety, and sustainability standards.
- Track daily expenses, collect receipts, and keep costs within the specified trip budget.
- Treat clients like friends, ensuring their trip is the best experience possible.
- Enjoy yourself and share that enjoyment with people from French-speaking countries.
Requirements
- Advanced English proficiency (C2 level) for client communication.
- Fluent in Spanish.
- All necessary permissions to work and guide in Mexico.
- First Aid Certification including CPR and Heimlich maneuver.
- Extensive and continually growing knowledge of Mexico as a travel destination, with a passion to showcase it.
- Interest in sustainable, local, and authentic travel.
- Engaging, reliable, and well-organized personality.
- Good health, high energy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to handle the daily mental and physical stresses of long, tiring days.
- Friendly, happy, and helpful demeanor as the face of PURAVENTURA.
- Practical experience with internet, email, Google platforms, and a smartphone capable of running Android 14 or higher or iOS 13 or higher.
Nice to Have
- Good English communication skills.
- Previous work experience as a tour conductor or guide, especially in Mexico.
