Responsibilities
- Design and develop tooling solutions for advanced manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure tooling meets project requirements.
- Conduct research and development to improve tooling designs and manufacturing processes.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for tooling solutions.
- Ensure tooling solutions comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide technical support and training to production teams on tooling usage.
- Troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues to minimize production downtime.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance tooling efficiency.
- Manage tooling projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery.
- Evaluate and select appropriate materials and components for tooling solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in tooling design and development for manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant design tools.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
- Experience with project management and team collaboration.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.
Other
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
