Apply is hiring a Tooling Engineer to lead the design and optimization of plastic extrusion tooling. This is a key role with potential to advance into department leadership. You will join a company known for its flexible culture and long employee tenure.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop extrusion tooling for profile, co-extrusion, and tri-extrusion applications
- Oversee tooling design, construction, modification, installation, and maintenance
- Support machinists and machine operators with setup and operation
- Adjust and fine-tune extrusion tooling to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot and enhance production processes
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience designing tooling for profile, co-extrusion, and tri-extrusion
- Minimum 3 years of experience with extrusion processing
- In-depth knowledge of extrusion processes and troubleshooting
- Strong, stable work history
- U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
- Reside within 45 minutes of the facility
