U-Haul is hiring a Clinical Referral Coordinator for veterinary oncology to coordinate the oncology care journey remotely. You will serve as a vital link between referring clinics and our oncology team, managing referrals, scheduling, and guiding owners through emotional conversations with clarity and compassion. This role is central to ensuring pets receive exceptional care.

What You'll Do

Support veterinarians, technicians, and clinical staff to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
Obtain and organize medical records from referring clinics prior to treatment.
Explain treatment plans and typical oncology journeys for canine and feline patients, guiding owners through emotional conversations with clarity and compassion.
Exercise sound judgment and lead with empathy in every interaction.
Collaborate with in-clinic teams to ensure all documentation is complete before and after patient visits.
Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with referring veterinary offices.
Manage time effectively and prioritize work in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.

What We're Looking For

Must have clinical veterinary experience as a technician, assistant, or client service representative.
Must have availability to work remotely during weekdays.
Demonstrated empathy in client interactions.
Reliable, high-speed internet connection.

Nice to Have

Specialty or oncology experience strongly preferred.
Experience with ARIA treatment planning software preferrable.
