Leica Biosystems is hiring a Territory Sales Manager – West to join our India Commercial Team. In this remote role, you will be strategically developing and managing accounts across the West Territory to deliver solutions and drive significant revenue growth. You will occasionally attend a local Danaher office.
What You'll Do
- Research territory opportunities to develop an effective business plan and sales strategy.
- Schedule and complete a minimum of 10 sales calls per week, with a preference for face-to-face interaction.
- Address customer needs and execute sales strategies through timely follow-up, capturing details in CRM/Salesforce.com.
- Prospect new accounts and prepare for all sales calls to secure new business.
- Participate in exhibitions and events to gather market and competitive intelligence.
- Maintain regular, informative communication and cross-functional collaboration with team members like Product Managers and Application Scientists.
- Build in-depth knowledge of CRM and funnel management processes.
- Adhere strictly to all company compliance policies and demonstrate behavior consistent with Danaher Core Values.
What We're Looking For
- A Master’s degree or at least a Bachelor's degree in a Life Science field.
- Five years of prior sales experience in life science reagents and consumables, preferably in genomics.
- A proven track record of meeting or exceeding ambitious sales targets for at least 3 years in a high-pressure environment.
- Residency in India, preferably in Delhi or Mumbai, with extensive familiarity with regional academic, corporate, and government accounts.
- Ability to travel 25-50% of the time within the assigned West Territory.
- Outstanding prospecting, territory management, lead management, negotiation, and closing skills.
Nice to Have
- Specific sales experience and expertise in the genomics industry.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic and tactical plans to achieve defined goals.
