The Hershey Company is hiring a part-time Territory Sales Associate to represent our iconic brands directly with retailers. In this role, you'll drive sales and ensure best-in-class merchandising by building displays and securing distribution across an assigned territory.
What You'll Do
- Sell and maintain 100% distribution of all authorized Hershey items in your assigned territory.
- Ensure flawless retail execution of Headquarter Sales and Merchandising Plans with various retailers.
- Achieve all merchandising objectives through effective use of Permanent Secondary Displays and other display vehicles.
- Report weekly activity, expenses, account changes, promotions, and all administrative functions.
- Report daily activities through the use of tablets, submitting upon completion of each day.
- Manage a sales territory that varies in size, number of retailers, and location.
What We're Looking For
- A valid US state-issued driver’s license.
- A personal vehicle in sound operating condition.
- Personal auto insurance with minimum coverage of $100,000 per person / $100,000 per accident / $100,000 property damage, permitting business use.
- Must reside or be willing to commute within the listed territory zip codes.
- Ability to drive long distances to make multiple sales calls daily.
- Ability to lift 10-40 lbs on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to bend, kneel, stoop down, and demonstrate manual dexterity frequently with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to use tablet technology and have daily access to wireless internet.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changes in territory coverage.
- Availability to work 20-25 hours per week.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Nice to Have
- 3-4 years of food merchandising experience.
Benefits & Compensation
- Hourly starting rate of $15.50 - $16.50 per hour.
Work Mode
This is a remote position based in Raleigh, NC. You will be responsible for managing a retail territory within the region.
