The City of Port Washington is hiring a Tennis Instructor to join our recreational team. In this role, you will teach tennis rotations under the supervision of the Head Tennis Coach, focusing on the safety and well-being of each child. You’ll help foster a positive learning environment aligned with our community values of accountability, innovation, trust, industriousness, and friendship.
What You'll Do
- Teach tennis rotations under the direction and supervision of the Head Tennis Coach.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of each child.
- Lead warm-ups, skills, and drills, and appropriately demonstrate techniques whenever possible.
- Perform regular safety checks and ensure play is safe at all times.
- Help set up and break down stations and equipment in an organized manner.
- Arrive 15 minutes before the first scheduled class to familiarize yourself with the lesson plan and teaching stations.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum age of 14 years old.
- Mature, responsible, and have a great attitude.
- Enjoy working with children.
- Ability to effectively communicate with children and adults.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in tennis.
Team & Environment
Reports to and is supervised by the Head Tennis Coach.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position located in Port Washington, WI.
