Scout Motors is hiring a Temporary Sr. Copywriter for a 6-month contract to support marketing copy needs across email, site, editorial, social, and collateral. Reporting to the Director of Editorial, you will create engaging content in our fun and unique brand voice.
What You'll Do
- Write engaging, high-converting email copy for campaigns, newsletters, and automated marketing funnels.
- Write website copy that aligns with our brand voice.
- Understand customer segments and timing to drive engagement, acquisition, retention, and growth.
- Occasionally review and edit copy from other writers to uphold editorial standards and ensure brand voice alignment.
- Maintain high editorial standards through rigorous proofreading, editing, and fact-checking.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners across marketing, UX, design, and merchandising.
- Contribute to a wide range of copy projects as needed, including long- and short-form stories, social media captions, site assets, and collateral.
- Attend weekly cross-functional kick-off and review meetings as needed.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years experience writing copy for beauty, fashion, or lifestyle brands.
- A portfolio for review is required.
- Ability to multitask in a fluid, fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with designers, marketers, and other cross-functional partners.
- Obsessive attention to detail and highly organized.
- Open-minded and resourceful with a knack for problem-solving.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.

- Skilled at writing in a conversational, 'real talk' tone.
